Privacy Policy

1. YouTube API Services

Zeigarn Studio uses YouTube API Services. Its use is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy applies to the data Google processes.

2. Data it accesses

When the owner signs in with Google, Zeigarn Studio asks for permission to:

• view and manage the YouTube account;
• upload videos;
• view YouTube Analytics and revenue reports (read-only).

With these permissions it reads:

• channel details and the channel description;
• each video's title, description, tags, thumbnail, privacy status, duration and statistics;
• analytics: views, watch time, audience retention, traffic sources, search terms, subscriber metrics and revenue metrics;
• impressions and click-through rate (CTR) reports.

3. How the data is used

The data is used only to show the channel owner a dashboard, to produce reviews, and to send to YouTube the edits and uploads the owner approves, each one separately. It is not used for advertising or profiling, and it is never sold.

4. Where the data is stored

The data stays on the owner's own computer, in a local database. The sign-in tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain. Zeigarn Studio has no server, so the data is never sent to Zeigarn.

5. Sharing

The only third party that receives data is Anthropic, through the Claude API. When the owner asks for a review, the video's title, description, tags, thumbnail image and summary statistics are sent to Anthropic to produce it. Under Anthropic's Commercial Terms, data sent through the API is not used to train its models. The data is not shared with anyone else and is never sold.

6. Cookies and advertising

Zeigarn Studio uses no cookies and shows no ads, and it does not allow third parties to show ads or set cookies. The zeigarn.com website, where these pages are published, uses no cookies or visitor analytics either; its own policy is at zeigarn.com/privacy.

7. Disconnecting and deleting data

"Disconnect" in Zeigarn Studio revokes its access to the YouTube account and deletes the YouTube data stored on the computer. Access can also be removed at any time in the Google Account's security settings: security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.

8. Google API Services User Data Policy

Zeigarn Studio's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

9. Children, changes and contact

Zeigarn Studio is not directed to children. Changes to this policy are published on this page with a new effective date. This version is effective from 28 October 2026. Questions about this policy: help@zeigarn.com.
